Hormonal mood patterns
Estrogen and progesterone fluctuations throughout the menstrual cycle, perimenopause, and menopause directly affect mood, anxiety, and irritability. These changes are predictable once you have enough data to see your personal pattern.
How to track
Enable Period (or Menopause/Perimenopause) and Mood trackers. Log daily. After 2 to 3 cycles, you will see which cycle days correlate with mood shifts. This helps your provider distinguish between hormonal mood changes and other conditions.

Frequently asked questions
Can tracking hormones and mood help with PMDD?
Yes. PMDD diagnosis requires evidence of mood changes specifically tied to the luteal phase. Consistent tracking of mood and cycle day provides this evidence.
